MedInterview

You have probably applied, or are thinking of applying to study medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or to become a physician associate and need a qualified tutor to help you get through your interviews. Whether it is MMI (Multiple Mini Interviews), panel interviews, or online interviews via platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, you have come to the right place. Dr. Omar Janneh is DBS-checked, appropriately trained and experienced in supporting applicants for admission to your chosen programme of study.

Since 2014, I have supported over 200 students to enter medical schools in the UK; a few were supported to study dentistry and veterinary medicine.

If you are worried about your medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or physician associate interview, you no longer have to face the interview alone.

If you are looking for personalised, one-to-one support rather than generic interview preparation, you have come to the right place. MedInterview is here to help you. We get to know you, your application and your interview so that your preparation is focused on what matters most to you.

With MedInterview, you can:

1.       Share your personal statement: this allows us to understand your experiences, motivations and strengths.

2.       Tell us about your university choices: this allows us to tailor your preparation to your applications even before you are invited to attend an interview.

3.       Upload your interview invitation: allows us to understand what your interviewers expect to hear from you; so, you will receive tailored help to prepare accordingly.

4.       Tell us about your interview: if we know your interview date, format and any information you have received about the interview, we can plan to better support you ahead of your interview.

5.       Tell us about your concerns and worries: whether you are worried about MMIs, communication stations, ethical scenarios, role play, personal questions or simply feeling nervous, tell us. We will equip you with the skills to get through each situation with balanced confidence

If you are not sure what you need to work on, that is okay. We can help identify areas that may need further preparation so that you go through your interview smoothly.

6.       Practise through realistic mock stations: Experience one-to-one interview support or if you have friends who are also preparing for their interviews, you can have group sessions to simulate working as part of a team. With MedInterview, you will practise tackling real challenging questions, respond creatively and confidently under pressure, and develop the skills and confidence needed to perform at your best on the day.

7.       Receive individual feedback and an action plan: After your practice, you can ask to receive an honest personalised feedback and a clear action plan showing you what to work on before the real interview.

MedInterview offers personalised support for your medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, or physician associate interview. Your interview and your preparation for it are important. We will support you to prepare with purpose. You will practise with confidence so that you can walk into your interview ready to ace each station.

MedInterview's style is personal because we offer more than generic interview preparation. We do not simply give you a list of common interview questions and send you on your way. We look at your application, your university choices, your interview format, your concerns and your individual needs to help you prepare in a focussed and effective manner.

Overall, MedInterview can support you with your application, personal statement through to focussed, trusted, reliable, confidence building, and results-oriented interview techniques to help you get through your interviews.

If you have friends who are also applying to study medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or physician associate you can join the same session. This can be particularly beneficial if you want to prepare for panel interviews and stations designed to assess your ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively as part of a team.

We are based in the London area of England, but we can provide personalised interview support wherever you are: The sessions can be over MS Teams, Zoom or where possible, face-to-face.

Dr. Talia Augustine: Dr. Omar Janneh has played a significant and enduring role in my academic and professional development, providing guidance that has supported my progression from studying Biomedical Sciences at St George’s, University of London, through to my current training in General Practice.During my Biomedical Sciences degree, Dr. Janneh provided valuable academic mentorship, particularly in developing my understanding of the planning and investigation of anticancer agents. Through his guidance, I gained insight into the differences between investigating therapeutic approaches for solid tumours and haematological malignancies, including the importance of considering disease biology, experimental models, mechanisms of action, and appropriate outcome measures. This experience strengthened my scientific reasoning and helped me appreciate how biomedical research can contribute to clinical practice. Dr. Janneh’s mentorship extended beyond my academic studies. When I was preparing my application to medical school, he provided valuable advice and support in developing an effective personal statement. His guidance helped me reflect on my experiences, communicate my motivation for medicine clearly, and present my academic and professional development effectively. He also provided important preparation and advice for my panel interview, helping me approach the process with greater confidence and a clearer understanding of how to articulate my experiences and aspirations. Importantly, our professional relationship continued after I completed my Biomedical Sciences degree at St George’s. Dr. Janneh remained a source of mentorship and professional guidance as I progressed through different stages of my career. His continued support included providing professional references for the multiple roles I undertook between completing my Biomedical Sciences degree and commencing medical school, as well as during my medical degree, the UK Foundation Programme (F1+F2), and now my General Practice training. Dr. Janneh’s support has extended beyond a single academic period and has reflected an ongoing investment in my professional development. His mentorship, encouragement, academic guidance and willingness to provide professional references have contributed meaningfully to my progression from biomedical sciences student to medical student, foundation doctor, and now GP trainee. Thank you, Dr. Janneh!

Mr. Hezekiah Walters

Mr. Hezekiah Walters (5th Year Medical Student, City St George's, University of London): When Dr. Omar Janneh became my personal tutor in my 2nd year of Biomedical Science, I never ever imagined how helpful and supportive he would be in my aspirations of getting into Medicine.
Dr. Janneh met with me many times and gave me such valuable tips and techniques for medical interviews, including what they are looking for, how to answer the random tricky questions and also the kind of personality they like to see.
Dr Janneh didn’t just see this as his obligation but he also truly cared about me. And he cared for all the students - even running interview crash courses during the summer for students hoping to do well in interviews.
As an academic tutor, and also a person, Dr Janneh is amazing. I am truly blessed to have met him!
